New Web-Based Sage Grant Management Helps Not-For-Profits Strengthen Collaboration, Build Pipeline Management, and Optimize Success Measures

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - March 21, 2011) -   Sage North America today introduced Sage Grant Management, a new web-based grant receiving product that helps nonprofit and government organizations maximize their funding potential by tracking grants and providing transparency at the organization, program, and grant level. An integrated development and financial management solution, Sage Grant Management helps organizations strengthen collaboration, build pipeline management, and optimize success measures so they can better serve their missions, constituents, and communities. Through March 22, Sage is exhibiting Sage Grant Management and several of its other not-for-profit products in booth #100 at the 48th Association of Fundraising Professional (AFP) International Conference on Fundraising, being held in Chicago.

"Managing detailed grant and program data in spreadsheets is not only dangerous, but also unnecessary in today's era of smart and affordable technology," said Krista Endsley, senior vice president and general manager for Sage Nonprofit Solutions. "With a secure, remote access solution, organizations can better manage, collaborate, and streamline their day-to-day grant application, management, and life cycle processes. With funding competition at an all time high, measuring impact and tracking metrics is crucial. A tool that can help organizations do this will have immediate ROI as they apply for and receive more grant funding."

Sage Grant Management helps nonprofits and governments:

  • Strengthen their financial health by increasing grant funding and proactively managing the grants in process;
  • Easily keep track of all projects, programs, grants, and contacts through an integrated relationship-based system, eliminating the errors and inefficiencies of disparate manual systems and spreadsheets;
  • Collaborate with other associates to build better grant applications, keep track of deadlines, create budgets, and better manage the grant pipeline; and
  • Track success measures in a sustainable and credible way so that funders see their true impact, which will also helps them maximize their organization's funding potential.

"The grants management process is inextricably related to the financial process, and reliable financial data is essential to both submitting grant applications and reporting to funders," said Nancy Banaszak, director of accounting for the Visiting Nurse Association of Fox Valley in Aurora, Ill. "Being able to maintain detailed information on each grant is essential to the accurate recording and reporting of accurate financial statements. As a healthcare provider and a nonprofit, we're subject to many standards, and we can't maintain integrity and meet funders' reporting and audit requirements without reliable data. We have so many deadlines to track and meet that a tool like Sage Grant Management that streamlines this process for us is indispensable, and keeps us in compliance with grant requirements."

After receiving an in-depth demonstration of Sage Grant Management, Randy Johnston, executive vice president for K2 Enterprises, a leading provider of technology-focused continuing professional education and consulting to accountants and other professionals in North America, said: "The new browser-based Sage Grant Management has key features needed to manage grants, projects, and funds, tracking critical amounts and measures. The setup is easy, access is logical, and the flexibility is good. Most NFP organizations could benefit from the capabilities of this new generation product."

Sage Grant Management offers internal standalone accounting setup or seamless integration to Sage Fund Accounting to allow organizations to do in-depth financial tracking and view up-to-the-minute balances. Not-for-profits can benefit from the highest level of internal controls and security, plus a flexible chart of accounts that enables allocation and distribution use throughout the system.

Sage Grant Management is offered as a fully licensed web-based application or a licensed application on the Sage Virtual Services hosting platform. Both models are based on named user count to help make the system scalable and convenient for all organizations. Additional deployment options will be available in the coming months. The award-winning Sage Business Care Gold and Silver support plans are also available with Sage Grant Management.
