New Web Site to Bolster Soil Loss Prevention Efforts

The World's First Online Community for Erosion Control Professionals

SANTA BARBARA, CA--(Marketwire - August 13, 2008) - Forester Media, Inc. has launched a new interactive Erosion Control magazine Web site -- www.ErosionControl.com -- that will be the home base for environmental and construction professionals responsible for construction-site compliance and natural resource management. In 1993, Erosion Control magazine became the first publication to exclusively address issues faced by contractors, consulting engineers, compliance managers, municipal public works professionals, and department of transportation officials in preventing soil loss.

"Erosion Control magazine addresses soil preservation -- a subject of critical importance worldwide," said Daniel Waldman, publisher and president of Forester Media, Inc. "The new ErosionControl.com gives erosion control specialists a place to exchange critical information."

Erosion Control editor Janice Kaspersen said, "With this interactive Web site, we hope readers will think of the magazine in a new way -- not as a one-way delivery of articles and information, but as a community where they can communicate with like-minded professionals who are dealing with the same issues they are. We want readers to ask questions, share ideas, talk back to us, and talk to each other through the site."

The new ErosionControl.com Web site allows professionals to participate in live discussions and blogs, get answers to questions, comment on articles, share views, access Web-only articles, subscribe to news feeds and newsletters, find current events, search back issues of Erosion Control magazine, and read the latest issue of Erosion Control as soon as it publishes. Web events will be announced online at www.ErosionControl.com.

The new ErosionControl.com Web site launched August 5, 2008. With a controlled circulation of 23,463, Erosion Control magazine is complimentary to qualified soil erosion and sediment control professionals. Subscriptions are available at www.ErosionControl.com.
