New World Resource Corp.: Exploration Update

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 24, 2005) - New World Resource Corp. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:NW) reports on recent exploration at its La Juliana gold project, in Sonora State, Mexico, and in the Klondike goldfields, Yukon Territory, Canada.

La Juliana

Over 2,300 meters, comprising 21 reverse circulation and diamond drill holes, have now been drilled at La Juliana. This initial drill program is designed to test five zones - the La Juliana, Ranchito, Juliana South, Martillo zones, and the recently-discovered, El Cerrito zone.

The El Cerrito zone is 700 meters to the north-northwest of the La Juliana zone, and is characterized by a prominent silicifed ridge. The soil grid was extended to cover this area and has returned anomalous gold values in soils of up to 2.3 g/t. Geophysics at El Cerrito show a high resistivity anomaly (indicating high silica content) in both an airborne survey completed by Newmont Mining Corp. and in the Company's own three-dimensional induced polarization survey.

Klondike Goldfields

Over 3,000 feet of rotary percussion drilling has now been completed on the Company's Klondike property, located southeast of Dawson, Yukon Territory. The project is designed to test bedrock models of the source of approximately 13 million ounces of placer gold reported to have been mined in the historic Klondike goldfields. The Company acquired an option on the approximately 1,000 acre property from exploration geologist Jim McFaull in January of 2005 and has the right to earn a 100% interest.

Drill results from both projects will be announced as assays are completed.

Quality Control and Assurance

All samples from both projects are being sent to Acme Analytical Laboratories in Vancouver for analysis. The work programs described herein and the contents of this news release are under the supervision of Joan McCorquodale, P.Geo., the Company's designated "Qualified Person" for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101.
