New World Resource Corp.: Long Valley Geophysical Survey Confirms Structural Features

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 5, 2006) - New World Resource Corp. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:NW) reports that a 113 line kilometre ground magnetic reconnaissance survey on its Long Valley project, in northeastern Nevada, has identified intersecting structural features similar to those that are believed to control high-grade gold mineralization in the nearby Bald Mountain mining district.

A strong northwesterly-trending structure and two intersecting northerly-trending structures identified by the Company's magnetic survey will be followed up by additional geochemical and geophysical surveys. A map of the structures found in the survey can be viewed on the Company's website at

About the Long Valley Claims

The Long Valley claims are located on the edge of a pediment and cover the projected extension of northwest and north-northeast oriented structures that transect the Bald Mountain, Alligator Ridge, and Yankee gold deposits. These structural features are believed to control the higher grade gold mineralization found in the Bald Mountain district.

To date, over 40 gold separate gold discoveries have been made in the district, 14 of which have been mined. Late last year, Placer Dome (the previous owner of the Bald Mountain deposit) described the area as the "southern extension of the Carlin trend", and announced that it would spend US$15 million on exploration in the region in 2006. Target areas announced by Placer include those in the southern portion of its claims block that are in close proximity to the Company's Long Valley claims.
