New York City Eyewear Institution, MOSCOT, Announces Executive Changes


NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - December 8, 2010) - MOSCOT has announced changes to its executive structure due to the recent passing of its President, Kenny Moscot, the beloved fourth generation Moscot who helped oversee the evolution of MOSCOT into a global lifestyle brand known worldwide for its iconic eyewear.

Effectively immediately, Dr. Harvey Moscot, formerly Vice President of MOSCOT and Director of MOSCOT Eyecare, will expand his role to become President of MOSCOT. He will remain Director of MOSCOT Eyecare and Chairman of MOSCOT Mobileyes. Dr. Moscot graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston University, and received his Doctor of Optometry from The New England College of Optometry, where he graduated as Beta Sigma Kappa Optometry honor student. Dr. Moscot joined the family business in 1986.

Wendy Simmons, formerly Vice President of Marketing at MOSCOT, will assume the role of Executive Vice President of MOSCOT. Ms. Simmons, who has overseen public relations for MOSCOT since 2005, joined MOSCOT as the Vice President of Marketing in 2009. She is also the Executive Director of The MOSCOT Mobileyes Foundation. Ms. Simmons is also the Founder and Managing Partner of Vendeloo, a management consulting, public relations and marketing firm founded in 2001. She will maintain her role as Managing Partner for Vendeloo. Prior to forming Vendeloo, Ms. Simmons was the Founder and President of the PR firm, Mindstorm Communications.
