New York Festivals International Advertising Awards® Honors Grand Trophy Winners in Shanghai, China

Grand Trophies Go to Argentina, Belgium, France, Germany, Sweden and USA

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - June 17, 2010) -  New York Festivals, now in its 53rd year of honoring the "World's Best Work®" announced the 2010 Grand Trophy winners at New York Festivals International Advertising Awards presentation in Shanghai, China on June 10-12th. Germany was honored with three Grand Awards, France received two, and Argentina, Belgium, Sweden and the US each were awarded one Grand Trophy. 

The prestigious Grand Trophy Award winners were selected from the top scoring Gold Medalists in all categories by the 2010 International Advertising Awards GrandJury®. Grand Trophies were awarded to the following agencies: Jung von Matt AG, Berlin "Last Call" for client 13th Street in the Interactive competition; BETC Euro RSCG, Paris, "The Closet" for client CANAL+ winning in the TV/Cinema competition; Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, Buenos Aries, "Children Do" for client Hospital Aleman winning in the Print competition; Leo Burnett/ARC/Worldwide, Chicago, "Zack Johnson" for client P&G Tampax winning in the Mixed Media competition; CLM BBDO, Boulogne Billancourt, France, "Posters" for Hewlett Packard winning in the Outdoor competition; Farfar Stockholm, "World's Biggest Signpost" for client Nokia winning in the Avant-Garde competition; Serviceplan, Hamburg, "Pro Contra" for client Lead Academy Award winning in the Design competition; Ogilvy & Mather, Frankfurt, "The Magic Mirror" for client Dove winning in the Collateral competition; and Duval Guillaume, Antwerp "Bizarre Traffic Updates" for client Touring Mobilis winning in the Radio competition.

The Innovative Advertising Awards GrandJury awarded one Grand Trophy in the 2010 competition; Forsman & Bodenfors of Gothenburg, Sweden was recognized for their outstanding work for "Facebook Showroom" for client IKEA. 

This year's festival of events and awards presentations were sponsored by Sino ADI and held at both the Shanghai Theater Academy and Sino ADI. New York Festivals announced the following special awards: Proctor & Gamble was named the Advertiser of the Year; Young & Rubicam received the celebrated Agency Network of the Year Award; Jung von Matt of Hamburg, Germany was awarded the Agency of the Year Award; and Mortierbrigade of Brussels, Belgium was honored with the Boutique Agency of the Year Award. 

The distinguished 2010 New York Festivals Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to international advertising icons Akira Kagami, Global Executive Creative Director of Dentsu, Japan, and Graham Warsop, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of The Jupiter Drawing Room (South Africa) & Partners for their contribution to the advertising community.

In 2010, New York Festivals announced the merger of the Innovative Advertising Awards with, New York Festivals International Advertising Awards which combines the similar categories of the two competitions and allowed winners of both award shows to be honored together at NYF's Awards Ceremony in Shanghai. 

All winning entries of the 2010 New York Festivals International Advertising Awards and Innovative Advertising Award were selected by NYF's GrandJury® comprised of 312 Senior Creative Directors from 56 countries around the world, representing the largest and most diverse jury of any advertising competition in the world. 2010 award winners will be featured on, the newly launched, and are promoted by a network of partners and representative in 84 countries around the world.
