New York State Association of REALTORS® Endorse Senator Gillibrand

ALBANY, NY--(Marketwire - Mar 1, 2012) - Today, the New York State Association of REALTORS® PAC gave its enthusiastic endorsement to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) as she seeks a full six-year term from the voters in November.

"Senator Gillibrand has been a leader in protecting private property rights, promoting home-ownership and revitalizing the commercial real estate markets," said NYSAR President Susan Goldy. "Her actions in Washington on homeownership issues, such as continued access to credit for qualified buyers, her commitment to maintaining the mortgage interest deduction, and our government's promise to millions of homeowners, make clear the need to keep her in the Senate."

"Important decisions that will shape the future of housing in America are pending in Congress," said Goldy. "We need thoughtful lawmakers like Senator Gillibrand who recognize the vast social and economic benefits of homeownership."

"REALTORS® do more than help sell houses and commercial properties, they help build communities. We believe that Senator Gillibrand supports policies that will promote economic development, create jobs and advance the American dream of homeownership. This is why we endorse her re-election," said Goldy.
