New York State Court of Appeals and State of New York Supreme Court Appellate Division Third Judicial Department Same-Day Filing & Service Available to Lawyers Across the State via Counsel Press

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - May 14, 2013) - Counsel Press, the nation's largest appellate services provider, extended its in-court services in the New York State Court of Appeals and the State of New York, Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department (the Third Department), both based in Albany, New York. Counsel Press, with its multiple offices and production facilities nationwide, including five in New York State, now offers its clients, regardless of their location, same-day filing and service for their matters before these courts.

The New York State Court of Appeals and the Third Department require that appellate documents are actually filed on or before the day they are due, rather than allowing postmarks as some courts do. Until now, this would mean that an attorney, located outside Albany, would need to have final documents ready for preparation at a minimum the night before these documents are due in court. "We had a situation where briefs on an appeal needed to be filed in Albany for the New York State Court of Appeals with a very short time frame. Counsel Press' ability to accept an electronic copy of the papers, have them printed, filed and served across the state was invaluable," comments David R. Adams, Partner at Hurwitz & Fine, P.C. (Buffalo, NY).

Counsel Press is the only appellate services provider to offer this service without any special conditions or increased charges. "In the past 12 months, Counsel Press has filed more than 500 times within the New York State Court of Appeals and the Third Department. We are very pleased that we can offer our clients the convenience of working on their documents up to minutes from filing and serving, just as we do in all other courts across the country," comments Brian Robinson, Esq., President of Counsel Press.

Counsel Press serves attorneys from within 12 physical locations nationwide, including 6 with state-of-the-art production facilities. Counsel Press' services focus on the rule compliant service and filing of all appellate matters, and also include divisions specializing in filing within the Supreme Court of the United States, cutting-edge eBrief technology, on-demand legal research and writing for attorneys and real estate development and offering plans.
