New York State Offices Pull In OPEN MINDS' Monica E. Oss to Discuss Value-Based Payment Strategies With State Provider Organizations

GETTYSBURG, PA--(Marketwired - June 28, 2016) - The New York State Office of Mental Health and Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services, along with the Health Foundation for Western and Central New York and the Managed Care Technical Assistance Center have announced OPEN MINDS' founder and chief executive officer, Monica E. Oss, as the keynote presenter at The Behavioral Health Value Based Payment Conference in Albany, New York on September 27, 2016.

The conference, held at the Albany Marriott. will also include presentations by NYS OMH and OASAS and MCTAC around the vision for value based payments in behavioral health as well as future technical assistance offerings for providers.

Oss' keynote presentation, "New York Value-Based Payment - Strategies For Behavioral Health Organization," will provide state organizations with a blueprint to the new value-based payment model. An initial agenda for the session was described as follows:

  1. An overview of state trends in value-based payment -- and the national context
  2. The range of incentive payments between community-based behavioral health organizations and health plans
  3. Opportunities for community-based behavioral health organizations in health plans, ACOs, and DSRIPs, IPAs and other possible partnerships
  4. Developing collaborative and sustainable relationships with health plans, ACOs, and DSRIPs, IPAs and other possible partnerships

This session will be open to all adult and child serving NYS behavioral health providers and is geared towards senior leadership and executive management staff. More information, including registration details, will be available soon.
