New Zacuto Foam Insert for the DSLR Cinema Kits

Zacuto Introduces a Companion for the Double Barrel or Cross Fire DSLR Cinema Kits: The DSLR Double Barrel Foam Insert

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - December 8, 2010) - Zacuto Product Designers Steve Weiss and Jens Bogehegn custom designed a DSLR Foam Insert to hold Zacuto's Double Barrel and/or Cross Fire kit. The foam insert fits into a Hardigg Storm IM-2750 hard camera case

"Designing this insert was a challenge to say the least," says Jens Bogehegn. "My goal was to fit our largest DSLR cinema rig, the Double Barrel, in a relatively small case and have it accommodate a fully built Cross Fire."

The DSLR Double Barrel Foam Insert can hold a fully assembled Zacuto Cross Fire kit or a Double Barrel kit disassembled into a few simple sections.

The main compartment holds the Zacuto DSLR Baseplate with a DSLR camera and lens as well as the Zacuto Z-Finder Pro attached to the DSLR camera. A follow focus and handgrip can also stay assembled to the DSLR baseplate. With extra compartments for the shoulder pad, counter balance weight, handgrips, lenses, batteries and Compact Flash cards this foam insert will safely protect your DSLR camera and Zacuto gear.

With quick release mechanisms for disassembly and assembly, the design of the foam insert allows the user to move from case to tripod to handheld and back again in seconds.

"You can have the Cross Fire ready to go in a flash or pull out the Double Barrel rear section and have a full shoulder mounted rig built, all in one case," says Product Designer, Jens Bogehegn.
