MANCHESTER, NH--(Marketwire - Feb 14, 2012) - Newforma®, a project information management (PIM) software company serving the building and infrastructure industry, today introduced a new portfolio of PIM software suites tailored to the differing needs of architecture, engineering, and construction firms, and the owners they serve. In addition to packaging the Newforma PIM solution in forms more suitable to each industry segment, the Newforma Product Suites contain new and improved individual software products that meet the needs of different participants in each industry segment, depending on the project delivery processes of greatest importance to their firms.

More than 50,000 AEC/O professionals in 10 countries are licensed users of Newforma's industry-proven PIM software. Via Newforma's web access capabilities, these professionals have invited over 400,000 external contractors, consultants and additional stakeholders to jointly manage information on more than 720,000 projects worldwide.

Newforma Chief Executive Officer Ian Howell explains, "Our focus has always been to help our customers streamline project delivery, reduce risk and improve client satisfaction by making it easier to organize, find and share information across the entire project team. Our new product suites will make it easier for our customers to adopt and leverage all of the relevant capabilities of our PIM solution."

The Newforma Product Suites

  • Newforma® Design Suite is made to improve the way architects and engineers organize, find, and share project information. The suite is anchored by Newforma® Project Center Professional, which has been updated with new and improved features for accessing project information via the web, publishing handover and project closeout information, centrally managing global contacts, and more. It also includes a new product, Newforma® Project Center Onsite, which integrates Newforma enterprise software with popular tablet apps to manage project information on project sites.

  • Newforma® Construction Suite makes it easier for design-build firms, general contractors, construction managers, and large specialty subcontractors to manage project information electronically. It contains three products to support construction work processes: Newforma® Preconstruction, Newforma® Project Management, and Newforma® Field Management.

  • Newforma® Owner Suite provides owners with much-needed visibility into project delivery much earlier in the design process than alternative information management methods. Newforma Owner Suite captures the histories of projects, improves the effectiveness of the project close-out process, and raises the value of the information provided, improving the management of the built facility. It includes two products: Newforma® Project Monitor and Newforma® Portfolio Discovery.
