Newfoundland Extends JEMTEC Agreement

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 28, 2011) - JEMTEC (TSX VENTURE:JTC) ("JEMTEC" or the "Company") the leading provider of integrated technology systems for community based corrections in Canada, has been notified by the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Justice (the "Department") that it will extend its Electronic Monitoring (EM) Agreement with JEMTEC for another year. The original Agreement between the Department and JEMTEC has a term of two years but gives the Department the option to renew for three supplementary one-year terms based on satisfactory performance by the Company. Management believes that the present agreement offers the Department a winning combination of value for money, robust technology combined with the best service available, which has led other jurisdictions to choose JEMTEC over competitors in recent procurement decisions. The Company is very pleased with this latest news and looks forward to additional renewal notifications from the Department based on its compelling value proposal.

Established in 1981, JEMTEC holds the rights for a variety of offender community control technologies and is the leading provider of community offender monitoring solutions to Canadian Corrections. The common shares of JEMTEC trade through the facilities of the TSX-Venture Exchange under the symbol JTC.
