Newly Renovated Service Canada Centre Opens to Better Serve North Shore Residents

NORTH VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 23, 2011) - North Shore residents will continue to receive easy, convenient access to a wide range of federal programs and services from a newly renovated Service Canada Centre. 
Mr. Andrew Saxton, Member of Parliament for North Vancouver, on behalf of the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, officially re-opened the Centre today.

"This newly renovated facility offers an interactive, welcoming and accessible environment to better meet the needs of Service Canada clients on the North Shore," said Mr. Saxton.

This Service Canada Centre, located at 221 Esplanade West, is designed to enhance access to services on the North Shore and surrounding areas, and represents one of over 600 points of service in communities throughout Canada.

Some of the programs and services that local residents can access at the newly renovated centre include Employment Insurance, Social Insurance Numbers, the Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security.

Grand re-opening of the North Shore Service Canada Centre

The North Shore Service Canada Centre has been at its current location for many years and recently went through some renovations to better meet the needs of the community.

This new Service Canada Centre, located at 221 Esplanade West, will provide enhanced access to a wide range of federal programs and services for the
North Shore community, and offers a more interactive and welcoming environment for clients. 

The North Shore Service Canada Centre serves a community of over 170,000 residents which draws clients from a wide service area, including both urban and rural areas. 

What services are available?

The North Shore Service Canada Centre will continue to offer reliable access to a wide range of programs and services clients need, including Employment Insurance, Old Age Security, Canada Pension Plan benefits, Social Insurance Number applications and Passport Receiving Agent services. Service Canada continues to deliver on its goal of providing Canadians with one-stop, personalized service they can access however they choose—by telephone, by Internet or in-person.
