Newmark Knight Frank Devencore Recognized for Office Transaction Expertise

Within SIOR's List of 2014 Top 100 Global Office Transactions

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 4, 2015) - Newmark Knight Frank Devencore is delighted to announce that its Toronto real estate team has been recognized for completing two of the largest office transactions among SIOR (the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) members in 2014. SIOR'S Top 100 list identifies and celebrates major office real estate transactions achieved by SIOR members from around the world, from Europe, the United States and Canada to the Asian and Indian continents.

The Newmark Knight Frank Devencore SIOR members recognized for this achievement include Rob Renaud, Managing Principal and Senior Vice President in the Toronto West office, and Mark Petznick, Principal and Senior Vice President in the Downtown Toronto office. Mr. Renaud is the Immediate Past President of SIOR's Canada Central Chapter and was the 2010 recipient of SIOR's Office Broker of the Year Award, which recognizes the superior performance and achievement of a real estate brokerage advisor within the Toronto Area marketplace.

"We are delighted that our Toronto offices have been recognized by one of the most important professional real estate organizations in the world," said Jean Laurin, President and CEO of Newmark Knight Frank Devencore. "Increasingly, clients across Canada are turning to us for our demonstrated expertise in executing some of the largest transactions currently taking place in the office and industrial real estate markets," added Mr. Laurin.

The two office transactions for which the NKF Devencore Toronto team members acted as advisors include a 95,000 square foot office relocation project carried out for a major global film distribution company and a 62,000 square foot office lease restructuring project carried out for a tier one consumer packaged goods firm. For the former transaction, Sam Meer, Principal and Senior Vice President in the Toronto office was also part of the advisory team.

"It is always very rewarding to be recognized by your peers and a prestigious organization such as SIOR, and I am very proud to be leading a team that is making its mark for advising on some of the most significant corporate real estate transactions in the marketplace today," said Mr. Renaud. "Our Toronto West office continues on an accelerated growth path as we strive to bring the best possible opportunities and market expertise to our rapidly expanding client base."

"Being a part of a group of seasoned professionals that has built an unsurpassed real estate platform is extremely gratifying, and to see how companies are increasingly turning to us for our uniquely tenant-focused advisory strategies further reinforces our drive to further enhance our service offering," said Mr. Petznick.
