NewMarket Technology, Inc. Anticipates 4th Quarter Sales Boost From Chinese Subsidiary's New Business Lines


DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - December 17, 2009) - NewMarket Technology, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: NWMT) today announced that the Company anticipates a fourth quarter sales boost from its Chinese subsidiary's new lines of business. Last week, NewMarket's Chinese subsidiary announced the acquisition of a subsidiary of China Radio Technology Ltd. The transaction is designed to enable the Company's Chinese subsidiary to introduce a new mobile communication hardware and software line of business. Earlier this year, NewMarket's Chinese subsidiary also introduced a new outsourcing services line of business. Both new business lines are anticipated to contribute to fourth quarter sales in 2009. NewMarket's subsidiary operation in China is a systems integration service provider that markets technology outsourcing services that include the sale and service of brand name technologies such as Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, IBM, HP and Dell. The operation in China reported over $40 million in annual revenue in both 2007 and 2008 and $30 million in revenue through the first nine months of the year ending September 2009, with record net income of $1.8 million.

In 2008, NewMarket reported $95 million in global revenue and has forecasted profitable revenue growth in 2009. For the first three quarters of 2009 ending September 30, NewMarket reported $76 million in revenue with $2.2 million in net income. In addition to the contributions anticipated from the new lines of revenue, both NewMarket and its subsidiary's sales are historically seasonal with the largest sales and profits usually occurring in the 4th quarter.
