DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - September 4, 2009) - NewMarket Technology, Inc.'s (PINKSHEETS : NWMT )
recently announced $33 million contract in Latin America has gotten notice
in the region. The Company and its wholly-owned subsidiary, NewMarket
Colombia, SAS, last week announced a three-year, $33 million outsourcing
agreement with WBA (Wireless Broadband Access) Telecommunications, S.A. of
Bogota, Colombia, under which WBA will outsource substantially all of its
current operations to NewMarket Colombia. Business News Americas, a leading
source of information on 12 strategic sectors of the Latin American economy
serving over 1,300 subscribed multinational companies and 80,000+
registered executives across the region, interviewed the CEO of NewMarket
Technology, Philip M. Verges, on the transaction. NewMarket Technology
plans to grow its Colombian operation to approximately $30 million annually
through organic sales. "From that point we will start looking for mergers
and acquisitions to grow the subsidiary to the next level, which is $100
million in sales," Mr. Verges stated. This agreement is NewMarket's second
major outsourcing agreement signed this year. NewMarket previously
announced a similar agreement in Shanghai, China earlier this year.
