Newmeyer & Dillion Hires 5 New Attorneys


NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 20, 2013) - Newmeyer & Dillion, LLP, one of California's most successful multi-service business and real estate law firms, announced today that it has hired five new attorneys.

The newly hired attorneys are:
Brandon A. Clouse, a 2010 graduate of the University of California, San Diego, graduated in the top five percent of his class at the University of San Francisco, School of Law, where he was a research assistant. He won the CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Research and Writing and was a member of the McAuliffe Honors Society and La Raza Student Association at USF. He has worked as a legal intern at Romulo Mabanta Buenaventura, Sayoc & de los Angeles in Manila, Philippines, and an office services clerk at Gordon & Ross, LLP, in San Francisco. He is proficient in spoken and written Spanish. He will work out of the firm's Walnut Creek office.

Fae Dagonese, a 2008 graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, earned her Juris Doctor in 2013 from the University of California, Irvine, School of Law, where she was articles editor for the Law Review, community donations chairman for the Public Interest Law Fund and a volunteer mentor for the Saturday Academy of Law. Dagonese received a Faculty Award for Lawyering Skills at UC-Irvine. She has worked as a judicial extern for the U.S. District Court Central District of California, a law clerk for the Orange County District Attorney's Office, a contract and patent legal assistant for Workforce Logic at Google, and a file clerk for Carroll, Burdick and McDonough, LLP, in San Francisco. She will work out of the firm's Newport Beach office.

Carrie A. Ligozio, a 2002 graduate of Cornell University, earned her Juris Doctor in 2008 from the Columbia University School of Law, where she was a staff member for the Journal of Gender and Law and articles editor for the Columbia Journal of Law and the Arts. Most recently a contract eDiscovery attorney for Adecco at Google, Ligozio has also worked as an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Los Angeles, a summer associate at Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles, and a compensation analyst for Merck & Co. She will be based in Walnut Creek.

Christina A. Lincoln, a 2006 graduate of the University of California, San Diego, earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she was submissions editor and staff editor for the Berkeley Business Law Journal, in 2010. She has worked as a litigation associate for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP, in Los Angeles and a judicial extern for the U.S. District Court Central District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals Ninth Circuit. She is co-chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Woman Lawyers Association of Los Angeles and a member of the New Leadership Council for Bet Tzedek. She will be based in Newport Beach.

Kelsey Mills, a 2009 cum laude graduate of the University of California, Irvine, is a 2013 graduate of the University of California Hastings College of the Law, where she won the American Jurisprudence Award for Trial Advocacy II and was the symposium editor for the Business Law Journal. She has been a clerk for the San Francisco Superior Court's Mental Health Department, a legal intern for Allergan, a litigation clerk for Millard, Holweger, Child and Marton, and a senior litigation clerk for Newmeyer and Dillion. Mills has also worked as a financial services representative for Bank of the West and a public relations intern for Green Nest Ecological Products. She will be based in Newport Beach.
