Newspaper Target Marketing Coalition (NTMC) Sees Growth During Their Ten Year Anniversary

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - July 2, 2008) - The Newspaper Target Marketing Coalition (NTMC) today announced that it was offering Affiliate Memberships to firms that serve the newspaper industry. NTMC is responding to increased requests for such membership. Membership will include first priority in event sponsorship opportunities, greater visibility among NTMC members and advertising space in the quarterly newsletter. The first company to be accepted as an Affiliate Member is Nielsen Claritas.

The NTMC is a national trade association located in Washington, D.C. Its members are major-market newspapers that operate shared, targeted Total Market Coverage (TMC) advertising distribution programs reaching both subscribers and non-subscribers. Our member newspapers have the capability to reach selective audiences within their newspaper and shared mail products by zip code. Many are able to zone at even smaller, sub-zip code levels.

Most members also offer solo mailing programs that can be targeted at the household level using demographic and psychographic data.

The NTMC is presently at its highest membership with strong potential for further growth by the end of 2008. After only 10 years, the group has grown from four to 42 member newspapers.

The NTMC creates networking opportunities, idea sharing, advertiser and vendor interaction among newspaper TMC managers, directors and advertising VPs. NTMC involvement continues to be increasingly important as advertisers are demanding a more defined reach and their budgets are requiring it.
