Newstrike Announces Retirement of CEO John A. Pollock


TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 3, 2015) - Newstrike Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:NR) ("Newstrike") announces that Company founder John A. Pollock has retired as President and CEO of Newstrike effective September 1st 2015. Director Scott Kelly has been appointed as his successor.

The Board would like to thank and congratulate Mr. Pollock, 83, for his significant contributions to Newstrike, and moreover, for his many contributions to the Canadian mining industry over an illustrious seven decade career as a miner, prospector, engineer Director and executive. Mr. Pollock will remain as a Director of the Company.

The Company also announces the election of Mr. George Kveton and Ms. Lita Dipucchio as Directors.

Mr. Kveton is an international business development executive and investment professional who brings a unique combination of entrepreneurial insight, strategic vision and recognized leadership to Newstrike. Until recently, George led M&A transactions as a Vice President of Corporate Development at two major multinational corporations and has established a track record in generating top-line growth by executing and successfully integrating multi-billion dollar cross-border acquisitions at Fortune 500 companies. His experience is international, spanning North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. George also has venture expertise with start-up tech companies in Silicon Valley, Israel and China. George is based in Switzerland.

Ms. Dipucchio has more than 30 years of experience working for some of the world's largest biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Lita spent more than a decade as Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Amgen Canada, where she launched numerous innovative biological products while developing organizational competencies to ensure the corporation's ongoing success in a highly competitive industry. For the past decade, Lita has brought her experience to bear as the principal at a strategic agency focused on biotech and pharmaceutical companies and on the evaluation of early stage opportunities in the health-tech sector.
