Nexio Intensifies Growth and Expands Market Reach by Acquiring Fusepoint's Application Services Division in Quebec City and Montreal

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Dec. 14, 2010) - Nexio Technologies is pleased to announce the acquisition of Fusepoint's Application Services (FPAS) division, based in Montreal and Quebec City.

In addition to geographic expansion, this acquisition allows Nexio to leverage its development services practice, thus enabling increased development and maintenance capabilities for its clients' multi-scope and multi-technology IT platforms and application projects. Thanks to this acquisition, Nexio now has the capacity to speed-up the product-to-market cycle, while the increased resources provide the muscle required to tackle partial or full management of IT development and maintenance projects.

Besides the cultural synergy and the added value of top-level expertise and resources, Nexio stands to strengthen its footprint in Quebec City, where FPAS has been well positioned with the government and major players in the insurance industry. In Montreal, Nexio will intensify its presence in the pharmaceutical and aerospace industries.

"Integrating FPAS within our team reinforces an already promising offer and an enviable position in the development service provider niche. We're very pleased with this transaction, which is perfectly in tune with our growth strategy," said Martial Rivard, CEO of Nexio. "We've already achieved a 65% rate of organic year-to-date growth and this acquisition provides the ideal complement to our balanced expansion strategy." Fusepoint is the first in a series of transactions we plan to realize over the coming years. We pick our targets very thoughtfully to ensure synergy and, so far, we've been reaching our goals: Fusepoint's quality reputation speaks for itself." concludes M. Rivard.

"This acquisition will provide a pertinent leverage effect and an increased diversification of our service offer, while giving us the capacity to respond faster to our current and future client's needs," added Jean-Yves St-Arnaud, Vice-president, Application Services at Fusepoint Québec. "Our team has generated excellent results and we enthusiastically put our shoulders to Nexio's sizable wheel, a renowned team with whom to form a natural strategic synergy, which will undoubtedly bring joint success," completes Martin Landreville, Vice-president, Application Services at Fusepoint Montreal.

With the integration of Fusepoint's Application division, Nexio now has a total of about 200 consultants and programmers. With the synergic effect of this acquisition, this number is liable to grow. The newly acquired Fusepoint's Application Services will now be known as Nexio.
