Next Flight Out Pioneer Network Global Logistics Selects Southwest Airlines for Its Air Cargo Partner of the Year Award

BROOMFIELD, CO--(Marketwire - Feb 2, 2012) - Network Global Logistics, the company that pioneered the next flight out business and continues its leadership as a single-source solution for all critical transportation and warehousing needs, today announced it is presenting its Air Cargo Partner of the Year award to Southwest Airlines.

"When we look at Southwest Airlines, we see an organization that shares the same work ethic, determination and commitment to the customer as NGL," said Scott Riddle, President and Chief Operating Officer. "They are absolutely driven to do things above and beyond, and we wanted to recognize their efforts."

Riddle cited Southwest Airlines' exemplary customer service and unmatched on-time performance. This is the first year NGL has offered the Air Cargo Partner of the Year Award. It will now be an annual event celebrating outstanding service delivery.

"NGL is the leader in cannot-fail transportation, including medical/healthcare logistics," said Riddle. "When we are dealing with time-critical items like organ donations and other critical healthcare shipments, partners like Southwest Airlines are precisely what we need. We demand a lot from our partners because our customers expect us to be the best in the business, and Southwest helps us keep that commitment."

When assessing its air cargo partners for the award, NGL considers on-time performance, lost or missing shipments per 1000, overall customer service, the number of "controllable" exceptions per 1000 shipments and carrier costs per pound and per shipment, among other factors.

"Here at NGL, we handle everything from mission-critical logistics to warehousing and even setup and other after-delivery services. We pioneered the air courier market over 40 years ago and still maintain the market leader position today, so we know that end of the business quite well," said Riddle. "We're in a very good position to assess the performance of organizations such as Southwest, and overall we are very pleased with their performance relative to our other carrier partners."

"We value our long-standing relationship with NGL and appreciate this prestigious honor," said Matt Buckley, Southwest Airlines Vice President of Cargo & Charters. "This award represents the tremendous commitment and hard work of our Cargo, Ramp, and Operations Employees across our system who consistently provide Relentlessly Reliable service."
