The New GaBi Server Helps LCA Experts Collaborate
PE INTERNATIONAL has created and released the new GaBi Server module to enable a more productive work environment and provide quality assurance for organizations with more than two practitioners. One standard database ensures everyone is working with the same information and data regardless of their location, thereby reducing the risk of duplication and saving time. In addition, new modelling standards and workflow enhances quality and further improves team collaboration with features for adding, updating and sharing information. Centralized management capabilities help to streamline the entire process.

The newly expanded environmental databases within the product are the most comprehensive on the market and more than 700 datasets now conform to the EN 15804 calculation method (the EU-wide standard for EPDs) and can be used to generate EPDs and whole building calculations. All data has been upgraded to represent current technology and supply chains and latest developments in LCIA methodologies.
There are other benefits to the new release of GaBi. ILCD data exchange functionality means that any GaBi dataset can be easily exported and exchanged with other practitioners and software - making it easy for users to integrate sustainability data throughout their internal systems. The new quality assurance features allow users to track the status of all objects in their GaBi projects so that those that have been checked can be locked and those in draft format or need of review are easily found and documented.
