NextCare Urgent Care Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Previous 12 Months for NextCare Boasts 60% Growth and Expansion Into 8th U.S. State

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwired - October 21, 2013) - NextCare Holdings, Inc., one of the nation's leading providers of urgent care medicine and occupational medical services, celebrates its 20th anniversary this month. 2013 has been a year of growth for the company and, notably, earlier this month, NextCare opened its 90th urgent care facility and expanded into its 8th U.S. state.

During the previous twelve months alone, NextCare has added 33 locations through acquisition and/or building new locations. Since October of last year, the company has added 33 facilities and expanded into new markets including Central & Northern Oklahoma, San Antonio, TX, Dallas, TX, Waco, TX, Albuquerque, NM, and three clinics in Northern Arizona.

NextCare's aggressive growth plan continues. This Q4, NextCare will expand, with more urgent care clinics in Arizona, Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma, at minimum. Already formally announced is the second NextCare Urgent Care clinic in Albuquerque set to open this December, as well as its 29th urgent care clinic in Phoenix set to open in January 2014.

"Celebrating 20 years in the urgent care medicine field is truly an honor," said John Julian, CEO of NextCare. "I am proud of the reputation for quality patient care NextCare has built, as well as the strong foundation established over the past two decades that support our vision for NextCare's expansion."

Julian comments that NextCare differentiates itself in the urgent care industry with its "Full Circle Care" philosophy that he says ensures patients experience the highest level of care, from reception to recovery.

NextCare Holdings has a balanced growth strategy that includes internal growth, development, and expansion through acquisitions. "The success of our Acquisition Program is largely based on our ability to centralize administrative functions and allow our clinics to focus on quality patient care in the communities they serve," said Julian. Centralized functions include a dedicated 24/7-call center to route patients and answer basic questions, billing and collections, accounts payable, marketing, finance, and human resources. "The efficiencies of our expansive network of facilities translate into alleviating the entire administrative burden of operations for those individual owners of urgent care centers who sell to NextCare."

NextCare Urgent Care was recently named on The Build 100 list that will be published in the March 2014 issue of Inc. magazine. Analysis for the list began with 22 million establishments; less than 0.01 percent of these exhibited at least five consecutive years of job growth, which The Build 100 list says is "the only statistically significant predictor of a company's ongoing success."
