NextCare, a Leading Provider of Urgent Care Medicine in the U.S., Expands Into New Mexico

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwired - October 01, 2013) - NextCare Holdings, Inc., one of the nation's leading providers of urgent care medicine, and Lovelace Health System have partnered to open two urgent care clinics in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The first NextCare/Lovelace urgent care clinic opened on Oct. 1, 2013, at 8201 Golf Course Rd NW, Suite A3 in Albuquerque. The second clinic is set to open in December at 9551 Paseo del Norte Blvd. NE, Unit D, Albuquerque.

To celebrate, NextCare and Lovelace are jointly hosting a community grand opening event open to the public on Sat., Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. and will include remarks from Albuquerque City Councilor Dan Lewis, John Julian, CEO of NextCare, and Ron Stern, President and CEO at Lovelace Health System.

"We are excited to be part of Albuquerque's close-knit community, and offer residents the highest standard for quality and service within the urgent care industry," said John Julian, CEO of NextCare. "Lovelace has deep roots in Albuquerque and a strong reputation for excellent patient care that we are proud to align with."

NextCare is one of the nation's leading urgent care providers," said Dr. John Cruickshank, CEO of Lovelace Medical Group and CMO at Lovelace Health System. "They offer outstanding care and we are proud to partner with them to bring these urgent care clinics to our community. Additionally, we will be using the same electronic medical record system to improve communication between Lovelace Medical Group and the urgent care clinics."

The Albuquerque clinics will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. As an added feature, the urgent care clinics offer NextCare's signature online check-in, called WAHOO® (Wait at Home or Office), so patients can be seen without waiting in the lobby. The clinics will accept most insurance plans, including all Lovelace Health Plans, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Molina Healthcare, Medicare, Workers Compensation, and many others.

NextCare has an aggressive growth plan in new and existing markets, having had opened 19 new clinics across the U.S. this year alone. For more information, visit www.NextCare.com or call 888-381-4858.
