Nextcat.com Announces Release of iRock Facebook App

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - June 10, 2008) - Nextcat (www.nextcat.com), the leading worldwide professional network for the entertainment industry, today announced the release of iRock, a new Facebook application (click here to add App) that enables Nextcat members to better leverage their Nextcat industry portfolio on their existing Facebook profile. Installing the iRock App adds a professional portfolio section to any Facebook profile, including a resume and rich media content: photos, videos, and music. Content updates on Nextcat are automatically reflected on Facebook and vice-versa.

"I think Nextcat is a great site and a great idea," said Los Angeles-based movie producer Mark Ciardi. Ciardi has produced a string of box office successes such as "The Game Plan," "Invincible," "Miracle," and "The Rookie." "Nextcat's iRock Facebook App just leverages the reach of up-and-coming actors even further."

Nextcat enables both established and aspiring entertainment professionals to network more easily within the industry, find gigs and auditions and advance their careers. Talent and service categories on Nextcat include: Music, Film, TV, Stage, Fashion & Modeling, Arts & Literature and Gaming.

"Nextcat is a terrific resource for helping us cast our films," said movie producer Hopwood DePree. DePree is currently in pre-production on his new feature film "Tug" starring Haylie Duff and Sam Huntington. "We believe iRock represents another great way for aspiring and professional talent to network, promote themselves and get a jump start."

In contrast to sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and MySpace, Nextcat offers a unique experience for creative professionals.

"We built Nextcat specifically to address the needs of the aspiring or established entertainment industry professional," said Jeff Pucci, co-founder and CEO of Nextcat, Inc. "We recognized that many Nextcat members also maintain Facebook accounts, and iRock lets these Facebook users display their talent to their friends in a way that would be difficult to do otherwise."

The entertainment industry encompasses over 200+ million aspiring, emerging, and established professionals worldwide who are currently using inefficient and obsolete means of networking and finding opportunities and services.
