NexTone Hosts Annual User Forum to Address Next Phase of Session Management Industry

Forum Provides Customers the Opportunity to Discuss Real-World VoIP Implementations and Trends in IP Session Management

GAITHERSBURG, MD -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 13, 2006 --

-- NexTone will host its 2006 User Forum, "Network Without Limits," from
November 15-17, 2006 at the Waldorf Astoria's LaQuinta Resort & Club in
Palm Springs, California. The forum provides NexTone's customers an
opportunity to interact with one another and discuss industry trends to
accelerate their business through new and expanded relationships.
-- The three-day event will feature a variety of discussions that examine
intelligent IP interconnects, SIP trunking, NNI peering, and real-time
session management. Discussions will be led by NexTone executives and will
include insight from industry veterans and the experiences of NexTone's
production customers. NexTone customers attending the forum include
Arbinet, ATSI Communications, Band-X, iBasis, One Communications, Tiscali
    International Network, among several others.
-- Network operators and service providers today no longer exclusively
trade in minutes and bandwidth; instead they must exchange, track,
troubleshoot, and bill according to the special requirements of each
session traversing their IP network. This level of service awareness is
essential to operator success because it underlies the service quality,
reliability, and mobility that users demand. NexTone forum attendees will
learn how service providers are operating in a new networking economy where
IP sessions are the new currency; discuss the new business models for IP
interconnects and how service providers can scale and adapt in a rapidly
changing market for service differentiation; and finally, how NexTone's
session management technology dynamically interconnects multilaterally for
increased scalability, instant connectivity, and quality compatibility.
-- As part of the forum, NexTone will discuss the different types of VoIP
peering federations and services available today. The company will also
present the benefits and importance of session management at the network
edge and demonstrate the ways in which session management can be used by
all types of service providers to build a foundation for VoIP.
-- NexTone's IntelliConnect™ System enables carriers to interconnect
to peering federations or services, while also enabling them to
interconnect with a wide variety of disparate VoIP networks and legacy
systems used by their carrier customers. NexTone's technology also
provides centralized voice and data management, which allows peering
federations to scale their VoIP services and expand revenues, as well as
monitor and manage a VoIP network end-to-end for maximum quality of service
    and availability.

-- John Longo, senior analyst, Heavy Reading - "With the industry
evolution from circuit switched technology to services based on IP
sessions, service providers are confronted with a myriad of options and
issues to sort through in determining the best way to manage these
sessions. Our research shows that not everyone is convinced that IMS is
the only model or the appropriate model for all of their services.
NexTone's User Forum provides a prime opportunity for its customers to hear
the latest on industry and technology trends and meet with each other to
share experiences regarding session management solutions. The NexTone
Community online Web portal provides additional resources to the group
    following the conference."
-- Dan Dearing, vice president of marketing, NexTone - "NexTone's User
Forum enables our customers to network with fellow users of NexTone's
products for optimal insight into the evolution and changing landscape of
the carrier and service provider markets. By hosting this event annually,
NexTone is providing a collaborative environment for our customers to
exchange information about the challenges they incur and the IP technology
solutions that enable them to grow their business and expand IP-based
service offerings quickly and cost effectively."
