NEXT.TV(TM) Announces Revolutionary New Internet Television Service on Hewlett-Packard Consumer Notebooks Worldwide

Allows Users to View TV and Video Content Anywhere There Is a Broadband Internet Connection

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - September 5, 2007) - NEXT.TV™ today announced its revolutionary new Internet television service NEXT.TV with late September availability on HP Pavilion and Compaq Presario consumer notebooks. Users will be able to enjoy hit TV shows, movies, music videos, shorts, documentaries and much more. The NEXT.TV relationship with HP is being announced in conjunction with HP's "Your Life is the Show" event being held in New York City today.

"Just as the dawn of cable and satellite revolutionized broadcast television, NEXT.TV introduces a new era in television distribution," said Rex Wong, CEO of DAVE Networks. "Now, HP consumer notebook PC users will be able to experience Internet television from anywhere they have an internet connection, such as their office, the park, corner coffee shop or living room."

Powered by IPTV pioneer DAVE Networks, NEXT.TV brings a true TV-like experience to consumer PCs while offering an unprecedented user experience. NEXT.TV brings together advertisers, content owners and viewers in an easy to use entertainment driven environment. NEXT.TV can be accessed with a wired or wireless broadband Internet connection and offers broadcast-quality content to viewers for free.

As part of its launch, the NEXT.TV service will initially be available via a web update on HP consumer notebooks shipping with Microsoft Windows Vista since January 2007. HP notebook users can access NEXT.TV through HP QuickPlay, allowing them to access hundreds of television and video programs with on-demand Internet television channels. As many HP consumer notebooks can be connected to TVs through an S-Video or HDMI connection, these users can bring the NEXT.TV experience into the living room. With the provided remote control, NEXT.TV content can be enjoyed from up to 10 feet away, adding a new dimension to the internet viewing experience. HP consumer notebooks are expected to come pre-installed with updated QuickPlay, including NEXT.TV, in early 2008.

NEXT.TV Announces Revolutionary Internet TV Service

"TV and PCs are converging and HP is at the forefront of providing entertainment options that can be accessed anytime people are connected to the internet," said Jonathan Kaye of HP, Director of Product Marketing. "NEXT.TV offers users a unique mobile television viewing experience, enhancing our customer's entertainment choices."

NEXT.TV programming will be supported by advertising but with the power of the Internet, advertising on the NEXT.TV service will be much more highly targeted to the specific content. Advertisers, in turn, will be able to target their audiences more effectively and have a direct connection with viewers.

At launch, NEXT.TV will feature more than 50 channels with programming across all genres, including comedy, drama, cartoons, documentaries, movies, sports and science fiction. Channels and programs available on NEXT.TV will vary by geographic region and include programming from around the world allowing viewers to experience global television. Launch content partners will be announced in the coming weeks and NEXT.TV will continue adding channels and channel partners after the launch, in order to continue to provide high-quality viewing experiences to users.

Users who do not have QuickPlay on their notebooks and wish to be part of NEXT.TV beta program and be the first to sign up for NEXT.TV when available can sign up at www.next.tv.
