NFCC Launches Financial Literacy Month

Resources Available to Help Take Control of Personal Finances

SILVER SPRING, MD--(Marketwire - March 31, 2011) - Have you ever thought about more effectively managing your finances? Whether you're a homeowner, a business owner, or just need advice about ways to make changes in your financial habits, now is the time to take control. In recognizing April as Financial Literacy Month, the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC) is offering several resources to help you take those important steps.

Even though every month should already be Financial Literacy Month, at the NFCC, April is especially significant. An NFCC financial expert is available to answer the personal financial literacy questions that many have always wondered about, but have never asked. This exclusive interview opportunity can provide the guidance and support needed to help you find the path to financial success.

In addition, in late April this year's National Survey Results on Consumer Financial Literacy will be revealed to provide a snapshot of the state of personal financial literacy in this country. Those interested can look for these results in late April and in the meantime, are encouraged to visit http://www.nfcc.org/NewsRoom/FinancialLiteracy/index.cfm to view past years' survey results detailing areas in which most people have needed help.
