Niagara Launches New Major Festival

Canada Day Weekend to Showcase International Cuisine, World Class Wines and Acclaimed Jazz Presentations Along Lake Erie Waterfront

PORT COLBORNE, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 20, 2007) - Niagarans will be launching a new major festival aimed at expanding the region's tourism industry and fulfilling a key recommendation in the Ministry of Tourism's Ontario Wine and Culinary Strategy.

The Mayor of the City of Port Colborne, in collaboration with the South Niagara Community Futures Development Corporation (SNCFDC), Port Colborne Economic & Tourism Development Corporation (PCETDC) and Port Colborne Folk Arts Council will be announcing the new festival at a press conference Tuesday, March 27. The festival's official name and logo will be unveiled, including details on the entertainment lineup, programming, and community partners.
