Niblack Appoints Mr. Bob Hodgkinson to the Board of Directors

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 17, 2007) - Niblack Mining Corp. (TSX VENTURE:NIB) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Robert Hodgkinson to the Board of Directors. Mr. Hodgkinson brings thirty years experience in the venture capital sector and an extensive network of relationships across the resource and energy industry. A former Vice-President and Partner of Canaccord Capital, Mr. Hodgkinson has been involved in several natural resource projects, including an early stage financier to Synenco's Northern Lights project, which today has 1.5 billion barrels oil in the reserve category in the Alberta Oil Sands. Mr. Hodgkinson was also the Founder and Chairman of Optima Petroleum, before merging to form Petroquest Energy, a NYSE traded company with a market capitalization of $550 million USD. Subsequently, he founded and was CEO of Australian Oil Fields, which would later merge to become $400 million Resolute Energy/Cardero Energy Inc. Currently, Mr. Hodgkinson is the Chairman and CEO of Dejour Enterprises Ltd., an Amex listed energy Company focused on the exploration and production of natural gas with significant uranium interests.
