Nichols Kaster, PLLP Files Overtime Case on Behalf of Mortgage Underwriters Against Residential Capital, LLC and Ally Financial, Inc.

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - July 15, 2010) -  On July 9, 2010, two former employees of Residential Capital, LLC and Ally Financial, Inc. filed suit in the Western District of Washington under the Fair Labor Standards Act and Washington state law for unpaid overtime wages. The case was filed on behalf of mortgage underwriters nationwide who worked for the Defendants in the last three years. The plaintiffs allege that they and other mortgage underwriters were improperly misclassified as exempt and denied overtime compensation. 

Plaintiffs are represented by Paul Lukas, Matthew Helland, and Robert Schug from Nichols Kaster, PLLP, which has offices in Minneapolis, Minnesota and San Francisco, California. The case is entitled Bollinger et al. v. Residential Capital, LLC and Ally Financial Inc. in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington.
