Nick Jonas Headlining at Cannes Lions With Mashable, Bob Garfield, Cambio & imc2

Group to Discuss the Power of Relationships on Sunday, June 19

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - Jun 16, 2011) - Nick Jonas, of the Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling Jonas Brothers, will present at the 58th Cannes Lions Festival with Frederick Townes, chief technology officer at Mashable, Bob Garfield, author of Chaos Scenario, Nathan Coyle, general manager at Cambio and Ian Wolfman, CMO at imc2. The group will present a seminar on "Friends with Benefits," June 19 at 3:30 p.m. in Cannes, France.

The seminar will discuss how traditional advertising has become less relevant during the digital marketing revolution. Marketers are now faced with a world of "friending" and "liking" and fan-paging, where values are not only shared, but also where relationships are found, forged and exploited. Garfield, known for sounding off about the death of traditional advertising, will moderate the session and gain insights from panelists on the power of relationships.

"The old media world -- and especially advertising -- put a high premium on seduction, which has its merits, but is usually and often tragically transitory," said Garfield. "Social media goes beyond the hook-up; it allows you to foster actual, sustainable relationships."

"Cambio's audience is teens and young adults," said Coyle. "No consumer uses the social Web in every aspect of their lives more than our demographic. I am honored to join this accomplished group in discussing such an important topic."

The Cannes Lions learning program features 57 world-class seminars across seven days inside the Palais des Festival. Thought leaders and experts in all forms of communications and creative thinking will join together to inspire, debate and entertain at the Festival.

"We are thrilled to share the stage with Nick Jonas and other marketing luminaries to talk about a movement we passionately stand behind here at imc2," said Wolfman. "This group of panelists each has a solid understanding of how to engage with fans and followers and sustain these relationships using the digital space."

imc2 manages traditional and digital work for clients, including Pizza Hut, Rosie Pope Maternity, Procter & Gamble and DirectBuy, to name a few. For more information about imc2, visit: To follow the session via twitter, use hashtag #friendswithbenefits.
