Night in the Country Music Festival Search for the Next Country Star

YERINGTON, NV--(Marketwired - Mar 12, 2015) - Night in the Country Music Festival, Nevada's second-largest rural event, is teaming up with local sponsors K-BULL 98.1 and the Sands Regency Casino to give one country music band their big break. Running today through April 24, 2015, bands are encouraged to enter by submitting their music on the festival's website. The public will have an opportunity to vote along with three judges from across the music industry, taking note and helping to select finalists to compete in a live Battle for the Full Moon Saloon on May 9 at the Sands Regency Hotel in Reno, Nev.

The final winner of the Battle for the Full Moon Saloon will become the opening act for Night in the Country 2015 on Thursday, July 23, 2015. Each band member will also be awarded free 2-day General Admission credentials to the festival.

Night in the Country Music Festival regularly features up-and-coming musicians, as well as the top names on the country scene. The 2014 lineup included Little Big Town and Brantley Gilbert, and previous years have welcomed Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, and Billy Currington.

"Country music runs deep across the nation and we're thrilled to help give up-and-coming bands the chance to get their big break by playing Nevada's longest-running music festival," said Event Coordinator & Festival Director Tiffani Creedon.

Night in the Country Music Festival runs from July 23-25, 2015, and is one of the region's most exciting and anticipated events, attracting tens of thousands of visitors from more than 36 states to Northern Nevada. The festival is produced by and benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving youth in the community with character-building educational and recreational programs.
