Nimble Storage to Participate at Storage Networking World 2013

Nimble Storage Customer to Present on Use of Flash-Optimized Hybrid Storage Solutions to Support Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Deployment

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 8, 2013) - Nimble Storage, a leading provider of flash-optimized hybrid storage solutions, today announced its participation at Storage Networking World 2013, taking place Oct. 15 - 17, 2013 in Long Beach, Calif. At the conference, Nimble Storage (kiosk #A15) will demonstrate its storage solutions, which are engineered to address the industry's most pressing storage issues: delivering better performance and capacity at a reasonable price; providing integrated protection with rapid back up and recovery; and, reining in storage complexity.

In addition, Nimble Storage customer, Daniel Kwong of Sacramento City College, will deliver a presentation titled "Key Storage Strategies for Getting The Most out of Your VDI (virtual desktop infrastructure) Deployments," highlighting the use of Nimble storage arrays. Mr. Kwong will discuss how the educational institution serving a diverse student population of over 25,000 and a staff of 5,000 leveraged Nimble storage solutions to simplify the operational aspects of its VDI deployment, while maintaining the performance and functional needs of both the administrators and the end users. In the session, Mr. Kwong will provide an understanding of the storage architecture required to support flexible VDI environments, and how to overcome the challenging process of selecting and configuring an underlying storage infrastructure that meets the critical operational criteria. The session will take place Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 5:00 pm - 5:40 pm.

Nimble Storage delivers high performance and scalability, as well as integrated data protection and disaster recovery (DR), making it ideally suited for virtualized business-critical applications. The company's products are based on its patented Cache Accelerated Sequential Layout (CASL) hybrid storage architecture that leverages fast read performance of flash and the cost-effective capacity of hard disk drives. Nimble combines this flash-optimized architecture with Nimble InfoSight, a cloud-based management service that delivers predictive support and operational simplicity through deep data analytics.
