Nimlok Recycle, Help the Community and Help Save the Environment With Their Exhibition Stand Waste

NORTHAMPTON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Nov. 25, 2010) - Nimlok, a Northamptonshire based exhibition stand solutions provider, is pleased to announce that recent initiatives at Nimlok have changed how they dispose of waste and exhibition stands at the end of their life, and has resulted in the recycling of 99% of their exhibition stand waste. Three skips, previously used for disposal of exhibition stand waste, have now been reduced to one, as they work towards their environmental objectives to recycle 100% of exhibition stand waste. 99% of waste is now either recycled or reused.

Nimlok have teamed up with Wellingborough recycling company, Think 3E, to assist them in this achievement. Nimlok staff now sort exhibition stand waste into the relevant recycling crates, aluminium, cardboard and plastic, which is then taken to Think 3E, for recycling.

Any other materials that are still able to be used, but not by Nimlok, off cuts and similar items are taken to not-for-profit organisation, Phoenix Resource Centre in Raunds, who offer the materials to its members which include charities, voluntary organisations, schools, nurseries, childminders, parents, arts groups and organisations working with children and young people.

Keith Richardson, Operations Director from Nimlok commented: "This is another fantastic achievement for Nimlok and we feel proud to be helping the environment and serving the community".

Nimlok have the ISO14001 and BS8901 recognised environmental British standards and, in 2009 were placed in the Sunday Times top 20 Best Green Companies List. They have always recycled 85% of their waste and this recent achievement only brings them closer to achieving more environmental objectives.
