NineSigma Promotes Andreas Zynga to Lead Global Operations

CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwire - September 15, 2009) - NineSigma Inc., the leading provider of Open Innovation solutions, announced today the appointment of Andreas ("Andy") Zynga as global CEO effective immediately. Zynga brings to this role a wealth of experience in developing and leading business services companies in the US and Europe, and managing both large and small enterprises. Zynga joined NineSigma in February 2008 as CEO of European operations, and successfully built its European business, adding a significant number of new customers and assembling an experienced team of professionals across all functions.

Prior to joining NineSigma, Zynga was Vice President, Northern Europe, at Telindus Group, a networking and IT company with more than $1B in sales. While at Telindus, Zynga successfully turned around an unprofitable region, increasing revenues from $100M to $140M, with EBITDA exceeding $15M.

"Andy has an impressive track record of growing innovation-driven companies on a global scale," said John McIlwraith, Chairman of NineSigma. "His extensive management experience, energy, and focus on service excellence will help expand NineSigma's leadership role even further in the Open Innovation marketplace."

In the last 12 months NineSigma has expanded its Open Innovation solutions offerings that now include NineSigma Intelligence(SM) which provides a comprehensive technology report mapping out a strategic area of the client, and RapidOI(SM), which helps clients develop the right processes and organizational structure to drive success with their open innovation initiatives. These solutions complement the core NineSigma Discovery(SM) offering, which helps clients to source innovations globally in order to accelerate innovation at a reduced cost. The company recently completed its 1500th NineSigma Discovery(SM) project, and has provided Open Innovation solutions to more than 240 of the Global 1000.

"I am excited to be assuming the global CEO role at a time when NineSigma is poised to increase its leadership position in the Open Innovation marketplace," said Zynga. "We continue to see demand increasing dramatically for our existing Engage and Enable(SM) solutions such as NineSigma Discovery(SM) and NineSigma Intelligence(SM). We are also making great strides with the introduction of new solutions such as Linked Innovation(SM), which responds to our customers' need to solve perennial issues such as reducing water usage in production, or lighter and biodegradable packaging."

After immigrating to the US in 1985, Zynga spent nearly 6 years at KPMG consulting where he built the firm's global Telecommunications Consulting practice. Later, he was appointed Senior Executive at Vanco PLC, a technology services company that went through a successful IPO in 2001. While there, he grew the German, BeNeLux, and US businesses from $1M of revenues to $30M combined revenues annually. Zynga holds a dual degree in Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin.
