Building on the Success of Their 2008 Conference, NineSigma Will Again Convene Thought Leaders, Key Clients and Invited Guests at the OI Leadership Summit 2011 to Be Held May 2nd - 4th in Arlington, Virginia

CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwire - February 23, 2011) - NineSigma, the leading provider of open innovation solutions, announced plans for their 2011 OI Leadership Summit which will assemble more than 100 innovation leaders from diverse industries around the globe. Attendees of the Summit will tackle some of the most difficult questions in open innovation today in a collaborative environment guided by peers from a broad range of companies.

"As new competencies emerge, the successful open innovation model continues to evolve," said Andy Zynga, CEO of NineSigma. "This conference is a unique opportunity for innovation leaders across our client base to examine best approaches, share ideas and understand future directions as well as the perennial challenges in an intimate, interactive environment."

The conference kicks off with two Workshops that will provide a comprehensive "how-to" on crowdsourcing and collaborative innovation individual and team development. Speakers for the conference include thought leaders from industry, academia and government. Professor Frank Piller from RWTH Aachen University will share recent research and case studies from his survey of more than 380 European companies and will introduce the "open innovation readiness" scale. Tom Szaky, Founder and CEO of renowned green company TerraCycle, will inspire attendees with his company's vision for eliminating the idea of waste. In another Keynote presentation, Doug Comstock, Director of the Innovative Partnerships Program for NASA, will talk about novel approaches in government/industry partnerships and how innovation-driven companies can create value through this type of collaboration.

Expanding on a highly popular segment of the previous Summit, the conference will again establish small working groups to address a series of challenging questions that universally impact innovation leaders. One session will address the question, "How do you get companies that compete to work collaboratively on a shared innovation challenge?" In an effort to match topics to the foremost needs of the attendees, the three remaining sessions will be defined as the result of polling innovation leaders, clients and others through outreach efforts including soliciting topic ideas through the NineSigma website.
