NIT Season Tip Off Tournament to Ring The NASDAQ Stock Market Opening Bell

What:

Ringing the Opening Bell on November 23rd will be the coaches of the four finalists of the NIT Season Tip Off Tournament: Mike Kryzewski, head coach of the number one team in the nation, the Duke University Blue Devils; Ben Howland, coach of the 19th ranked UCLA Bruins; John Calipari, coach of the Memphis Tigers, the 12th ranked team in America; and Bruiser Flint, head coach of the Cinderella team, Drexel University. Dr. Myles Brand, the president of the NCAA, will be joining the coaches to celebrate the championship week of the NIT Season Tip Off Tournament.

The NIT Season Tip Off was begun in 1985 and quickly established itself as the nation's premiere early season collegiate tournament. The NIT field is comprised of 16 teams with early round action taking place throughout the country and culminates in the "World's Most Famous Arena," Madison Square Garden. The semi-final doubleheader is set to tip Wednesday, November 23rd, with games at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm.The consolation game and championship takes place Friday with a 4:30 start.
