Nitin Kapoor Appointed to Chief Technology Officer Position at Echo Logistics

Kapoor Joined Echo After 2013 Acquisition of Truckload Brokerage Open Mile -- Holds More Than 18 Years of Progressive Technology Leadership Positions


CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - May 6, 2014) - Echo Global Logistics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ECHO), a leading provider of technology-enabled transportation and supply chain management services, announced today that Nitin Kapoor has been named Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Kapoor previously was the Senior Vice President, Products and Services at the company. He joined Echo Global Logistics in March of 2013, coming to the company from Open Mile, a Boston-based truckload brokerage acquired by Echo. As the Co-Founder and the Vice President of Engineering and Product at Open Mile, Mr. Kapoor developed the firm's cloud-based technology that brought automation to manual transportation management processes. Mr. Kapoor has over 18 years of experience in managing technology innovation at supply chain and e-commerce companies.
