Nitro Petroleum, Inc.-In Negotiations for Production on 260 Acres

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA--(CCNMatthews - April 16, 2007) - Nitro Petroleum, Inc. (OTCBB:NTRO) -

Nitro Petroleum, Inc. (OTCBB:NTRO) is pleased to announce that it is in negotiations with Federated Energy on acquiring 260 acres with over 30 producing wells that are within two weeks of being ready to come online. Nitro will keep its shareholders posted on the progress of the negotiations and more details on the properties in upcoming news releases.

Nitro has filed the permits on the Salt Water Injection Wells with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. Due to bad weather over the last two weeks Nitro has been unable to commence equipping salt water ejection wells and a water supply well for preparation of secondary oil recovery on the Bartlesville Sand. Weather permitting Nitro will be able to equip and start injector wells within the next two weeks and complete Phase Two of this project. Completion of Phase Two allows Nitro to see an increase in production.

Nitro will also be moving in on the West Moreland Lease to complete an open hole well with Well Enhancement Services and will cut four horizontal lateral legs in the Bartlesville Sands.
