No Blackouts: Hertz Dollar-Off Coupons Now Say "No" the Best Way

Start Saying "Yes" Today With New Dollar-Off Incentives

PARK RIDGE, NJ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 15, 2005 -- Hertz brings coupon nirvana to the traveling public by announcing that all 2005 dollars-off coupons are good all the time, with no blackout dates, for rentals at all corporately owned airport and suburban locations in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. To eliminate the red tape and fine print associated with most travel coupons, Hertz coupons start saying "yes," effective March 15, 2005 through December 31, 2005.

Travelers looking to reap immediate savings from Hertz' no blackout date policy and who currently don't have an applicable coupon, may take advantage of a special dollars-off incentive with no blackout dates Hertz is offering through July 31, 2005. Renters receive $20 off a weekly leisure rental of car classes A-F (economy - full-size cars) and $25 off a weekly leisure rental of car class G and above (premium cars and above). To receive these savings, customers must mention at time of reservation Promotion Code (PC#) 966011 for car classes A-F or PC# 966033 on car classes G and above.

Commenting on the new policy, Frank Camacho, Hertz Staff Vice President, Marketing and Sales, said, "Our customers told us that they loved our coupons but hated that the coupons weren't redeemable during peak vacation travel periods -- precisely when our customers' need for a rental car may be the greatest. Hertz is pleased to eliminate blackout dates from all of our dollar-off coupons in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, enhancing their value to our customers."

The no blackout dates policy applies to all non-expired Hertz dollars-off certificates for the applicable date span of the coupon. Customers with existing dollars-off certificates/offers that include 'blackout periods may apply' language are now able to book the reservation for any date and receive the applicable discount for as long as the certificate or offer is valid.

Hertz has a long history of saying "yes," providing landmark choices with industry firsts such as the option of reserving a car by brand and model (rather than merely car class), available at more than 25 major US airports and Hertz Covered Return Centers that protect renters from the elements as they return their vehicles. To further cut the stress of travel, Hertz also offers the industry-leading NeverLost® Global Positioning System (GPS), its Buckle Up Baby child car seat program, Hertz #1 Club expedited rental service, and free pick up and return within a geographical area on Prestige Collection and Hertz Local Edition (suburban locations) rentals.
