No cookie-cutter fitness programs here

Body Form Fitness Studio’s programs are uniquely designed to fit each client

Attention: Assignment Editor, City Editor, Health/Medical Editor, Lifestyle Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO, MEDIA RELEASE--(Marketwire - Oct. 7, 2010) - For over seven years, Body Form Fitness Studio (BFF) has been creating fitness programs that are unique to each client, leading to better results.

Body Form Fitness Studio, believes that a healthy lifestyle should be balanced and encompass all aspects of a person's physiology, including muscular strength, functional development, cardiovascular, endurance and stamina, flexibility and stability, proper nutrition, as well as, rest and recovery.

"We don't cookie-cutter our fitness programs; we provide one-on-one custom designed training," says Joe Berrill, a Post Rehabilitation Conditioning Specialist and Director of Body Form Fitness. "Just as our clients come in all ages, shapes and sizes and physical conditioning, so do our programs - to do otherwise would risk injury."

Take for example, Larry Sulky, whose story is typical of almost any Body Form Fitness client.

"A lot of people think that they would like to have my problem; being underweight," says Larry Sulky. "But let me tell you, 'underweight' does not equal 'fit,' and at age 48, I found myself losing even more weight; my lack of muscle and muscle-tone meant an ever-more frequent series of nagging injuries - injuries that just would not clear up by themselves."

Aging and lifestyle play a role in the overall degeneration of health. Our bodies are not designed to sit eight hours at a desk and several hours on a couch each day. The accumulative impact of a lifestyle like this takes its toll on the human body, eventually leading to lethargy, acceleration of muscle and joint degeneration, and greater susceptibility to injury, pain, illness, and contraction of diseases.

"I was seeing my chiropractor and massage therapist entirely too often," says Larry Sulky. "I had tried working out several times on my own in the past, and invariably injured myself."

With Body Form, it's not a one size fits all approach. As a result, careful attention is placed upon each client's unique needs, strengths and weaknesses. Placing them in a class not suited to their fitness level would most likely discourage them and risk injury.

"After four years at Body Form Fitness, I am more fit now than I have ever been in my life. It wasn't easy, and it wasn't a miracle," says Larry. "The fitness trainers worked me as hard as I could be worked, but no harder."

Exercise is an important component to a healthy life. What's misunderstood is that after years of inactivity, how much and what kind of exercise is best - what's really needed is a planned program that rebuilds muscle strength, restores healthy muscle ratios, and helps to prevent injury.

"As a result of Body Form Fitness' customized and unique training, I have gained cardio endurance, strength in the extremities, stability in the core, and yes, even muscle size and definition. And I have done this in a quiet, private, supportive atmosphere," adds Larry.
