BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - January 4, 2011) -

  • From January 26th - 30th, 2011, Magners will host 19 shows of non-stop laughter at the Second Annual Magners Comedy Festival in Boston.

  • For the second year in a row, Magners will be hosting a Comic Stand-Off as part of the Magners Comedy Festival. • "Magners has a lot in common with our host city of Boston, we both love a delicious beverage and enjoy a good laugh. We are so proud of the tremendous growth that the festival has enjoyed in such a short time; proving Boston is one of the best comedy towns in the country. This year we've got triple the shows we had last year with an amazing roster of seasoned stand-up comics and seriously talented amateur comedians."
    - Kevin Murphy, US Trade Marketing Manager, Magners Irish Cider

Magners Irish Cider is a premium, traditional brand of Irish cider. We take a blend of seventeen varieties of fresh apples to create the unique taste of Magners Irish Cider. Patiently matured in vats close to the orchards of the Tipperary countryside, Magners Irish Cider has a crisp, refreshing flavor and a natural authentic character.

The historic Wilbur Theatre is now the ultimate destination for comedy and music in Boston. The theatre was originally opened in 1915 but has been recently revitalized by former Comedy Connection owner Bill Blumenreich starting in July 2008. Most every week features A-list talent in the world of comedy from Joel McHale and Jimmy Fallon to Bill Maher and Joan Rivers; as well as the world of music with Gavin Degraw and Kris Kristofferson to TV on the Radio and Broken Social Scene. The Wilbur Theatre is a must for anyone looking to kick back and have a good laugh or catch top national live music in the heart of Boston's historic theater district.
