NobleCon14 - Noble Capital Markets' 14th Annual Institutional Investor Conference / Microcap Showcase Announces Panels -- January, Fort Lauderdale Beach; Research Initiation, Pangaea Logistics (PANL)

FORT LAUDERDALE BEACH, FL--(Marketwired - December 12, 2017) - Noble Capital Markets (Noble) announced today that it has added three panels to the agenda of NobleCon14 to be held at the Four-Diamond oceanfront W Hotel, January 29-30, 2018. Expected attendance will top 650 with 120 companies presenting to a diverse mix of investors including institutions, hedge fund manager, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, financial advisors, private equity and retail brokers.

NobleCon is now located less than 15 minutes from Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport - which averages 640 commercial flights a day on 26 airlines -- and much closer to the heart of the Miami / Dade / Broward counties investment community. Another reason for the move is the meeting area layout and the exclusivity the W offers. "NobleCon will occupy all of the more than 20,000 square feet of conference facilities at the hotel which is made up of many smaller rooms, said Mark Pinvidic, Noble's managing partner, this makes it perfect for adding content and at the same time avoiding distraction from competing events."

Panel selection was based upon Noble's sector concentration and the interest and relevance of topical content. The panels will be scheduled for the close of business on the first day of NobleCon and the opening sessions of the second, and will be made up of key opinion leaders, corporate executives and investment portfolio managers and cover the following topics:

  • "The Stock Market's New Address: 25000 Wall Street" -- Designed for the benefit of investors and issuers alike, this panel of industry leaders will look at impact on the market coming from new and developing economic changes such as taxation, deregulation, international trade. They will look at the "Washington Effect" and how to adjust investment strategies in order to maximize gains in this long-standing Bull Market, and prepare for possible market corrections.
  • "Cancer Treatment: Tackling the Disease through Five Innovative Strategies" -- The panel, headed by Dr. James Mule, Director of Cell-Based Therapies at Moffitt Cancer Center, will probe into the new world of oncology -- targeting innate immunity, modulation of tumor micro-environment, treatment of solid tumors with CAR-T, cancer vaccines and oncolytic viruses.
  • "Central Nervous System: Is there a cure for Alzheimer's on the Horizon?" -- Alzheimer's Disease is the most common form of dementia (accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases) and other cognitive abilities serious to enough interfere with daily life. Although a cure remains elusive, the panel, moderated by Anthony Giovinazzo, former CEO of Cynapsus Therapeutics (CYNA), will guide a discussion around current technologies and encouraging new discoveries in the treatment of this and other neurodegenerative diseases.
  • "The Transportation Industry: Is the U.S. Shipping Market Prepared for the Impact of the Trump Administration?" -- Ship owners and operators will discuss the current state for the U.S. Jones Act tanker vessel market along with their outlook on tanker demand and supply for 2018. Regulatory experts will discuss the new reality in Washington D.C. and how this may impact the trades protected by the Act.

Transportation & Logistics is a relatively new sector-focus for Noble with several companies in the space presenting at NobleCon14. Noble announced today the initiation of research coverage of another logistics company; Pangaea Logistics (PANL). The company offers logistics services to industrial customers who require the transportation of a wide variety of dry bulk cargoes, including grains, pig iron, bauxite, alumina, cement, and other materials. PANL owns, lease and charters-in dry bulk vessels offering a comprehensive set of services, including cargo loading, cargo discharge, vessel chartering, and voyage planning.
