Nomadesk Rolls Out New Product Upgrade and Strengthens Collaboration Offering

Customer Feedback Sparks New Widget, Security Features and Enhancements to FolderLink

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - March 4, 2010) -  Nomadesk, developer of the easiest and most secure on-demand file sharing software, today announced a product upgrade, which includes a new widget feature to MyNomadesk.com, builds in added security and optimizes FileLink and FolderLink. With just one click of the mouse, the newly improved FolderLink and FileLink allow users to more easily and securely share complete folders containing large files, photos, presentations or videos publicly through an email link, even if the recipient is not a Nomadesk user. The new widget technology will power any website to create a cloud storage platform, similar to GoogleDocs, allowing users to collaborate, backup, synchronize, encrypt and store files in one secure place. SMBs or professionals interested in test driving Nomadesk can download a free 30-day trial at Nomadesk.com.

Responding quickly to initial customer feedback on FolderLink, one of Nomadesk's newer features, Nomadesk now allows users to both download and upload files to a folder in a virtual file server even when they are outside of the Nomadesk network, making it a very simple FTP replacement. The new upgrade will also increase security by including a new password protection feature on FolderLink and FileLink, and limiting the number of downloads. The Nomadesk widget feature gives companies the ability to offer a cost-effective way to manage documents and improve productivity with a dispersed group of people from their home page, which supports multiple applications on multiple platforms including PC, Mac and mobile. Companies can upload content to share with their audiences such as press kits, videos, photos and logos that can easily be updated, stored and downloaded.

"We continue to strengthen our collaboration offering," said Nomadesk CEO Filip Tack. "Instead of having to rely on email or FTP to send large files, FolderLink is the perfect solution for teams that need to collaborate on large presentations, or share collateral with large graphics or content that includes photos or videos. Now users have a two-way benefit by being able to both upload and download content via FolderLink. Furthermore the new Nomadesk widget gives users the flexibility to include rich content to their blogs or web pages and maintain this content directly from their desktop. By using the Nomadesk widget the rich content storage is entirely off-loaded to the Nomadesk virtual fileserver which boasts unlimited capacity*."

What Nomadesk Technology Does
Millions of people risk losing their unprotected, critical data every day. As the amount of unprotected data stored on multiple devices increases, it becomes harder to synchronize and easier to lose. Nomadesk allows individuals and teams to secure, sync, share and backup data with no limits or change in behavior, giving them access to their files when working online and offline. Nomadesk's virtual drives acts just like a hard drive, storing important documents in one place with remote access. Users simply drag and drop their docs into the virtual file server, and files are immediately encrypted, backed up and available for file sharing.
