Norfolk Chiropractor Debuts New Website for Chiropractic and Pain Management Patients

NORFOLK, VA--(Marketwire - Aug 10, 2011) - Virginia chiropractic office Norfolk Chiropractic has announced the debut of their new website, found online at http://norfolkchiropractic.com/. The website will be an additional resource for visitors to this Norfolk Chiropractic office, according to the office staff. The staff chiropractor, Dr. Scott Niblo, has a special interest in a variety of healing arts. Dr. Niblo received his chiropractic training at the Life University School of Chiropractic in Georgia, and also obtained his degree in Naturopathic Medicine and holds two fellowships in Acupuncture. Dr. Niblo and staff have a strong belief in chiropractic care and other naturopathic methods of healing, and believe in offering sound medical advice and treatment based on these methods.

The new website will offer several new features, with one of the most notable features being the "Chiro Myths And Facts" section. This section is dedicated to debunking myths about chiropractic care and discussing exactly what types of illnesses or injuries -- such as arthritis, neck pain, sciatica, fibromyalgia, disc herniation, headaches, or back pain -- that it is used for. Patients are often referred by their Medical Doctors, according to the staff at Norfolk Chiropractic, so they feel it is important for patients to understand that chiropractic care can be an important part of the healing process and how it can do so.

Additional new website features are the "Wellness Lifestyle Tips," "Wellness Essentials," and "Wellness Perspectives." These sections of the website are devoted to explaining to patients how the actions they take in their personal lives can have an effect on their overall wellness. For example, the site mentions some ways to increase health such as increasing sleep, reading food labels before eating, stopping smoking, watching less television, and decreasing stress levels whenever possible.

Patients may visit the chiropractor for a variety of reasons, and Dr. Niblo is certified to treat most conditions including arthritis, neck pain, back pain, and injuries that may happen as a result of a car accident or sports injury. Conditions like neck pain and back pain may occur simultaneously and may therefore be treated together, as the website explains, while other pain related conditions like arthritis may call for a different kind of rehabilitation. Treatments may include spinal decompression, gentle manipulation, physical therapy, and other treatments. Spinal decompression may not be used in every case, since decompression may only be indicated when discs are compressed or causing particular problems. As the clinic says, treatment is highly individualized and will depend upon the best interests of each patient.

The clinic treats patients of all ages, from children to adults, and has now devoted a section of the website to children as well. The "Wellness 4 Kids" section of the new website has online games and quizzes about health and wellness, printable games and puzzles, and a wellness coloring book. Other features include a chiropractic blog, Facebook and Google +1 Links, for patients interested in receiving ongoing information about the center.
