North American Spine Society Improves Communications With Cistera Networks' Event Alerting and Notification Solution

DALLAS, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 27, 2007 --Cistera Networks (OTCBB: CNWT), a leading provider of enterprise application platforms and engines for IP Communications, announced today that the North American Spine Society (NASS), headquartered in La Grange, Illinois, has selected Cistera's Event Alerting and Notification solution for installation along with its implementation of Cisco Unified Communications.

NASS is a multidisciplinary organization that advances quality spine care through education, research and advocacy. To help achieve this mission, NASS made the decision to upgrade to IP telephony and chose a Cisco solution. By incorporating the CisteraConvergenceServer™ (CCS) and the RapidBroadcast™ (RB) application engine, extensive broadcasting capabilities including live and pre-recorded announcements, text messaging, "whisper" intercom and playback of previously broadcast messages were added. These capabilities will help the headquarters staff better support its 4,400 members which include MDs, DOs and PhDs in 22 spine-related specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, psychiatry, pain management and other disciplines. Nurse practitioners, physician's assistants, chiropractors, physical therapists, practice administrators and other allied health care professionals involved in spine care are also represented in NASS as affiliate members.
