The North Carolina Heroes Fund Announces Event -- Tailgate for Troops -- in Support of North Carolina's Military Families

CHARLOTTE, NC--(Marketwire - October 26, 2009) - The North Carolina Heroes Fund is pleased to announce the event, Tailgate for Troops, on Sunday, December 6, 2009 prior to Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the 10th story rooftop parking deck at the corner of Fourth and Poplar from 10:30 am until 1:00 pm.

This family friendly event will take place on a rooftop parking lot at the corner of 4th and Poplar -- walking distance from Bank of America stadium. This family friendly event will consist of live music featuring the Chris Carroll band, and a featured guest performance by rising country music singer/songwriter and Monroe native, Karla Davis, tailgate games, food and beverages all in an effort to support North Carolina's true heroes -- our military men and women. Tailgate tickets are $35.00 in advance, $40.00 at the door, Active Military and Veterans $20.00, Children 8 and under free of charge.

The North Carolina Heroes Fund is a 501 (C) (3) charitable organization dedicated to supporting North Carolina's military men and women. The Fund's focus is on North Carolina's service men and women and their families who are currently serving or have recently served in the United States Armed Forces and are enduring hardships as a direct result of their service. In addition to hardship grants, the North Carolina Heroes Fund is assisting the dependents of North Carolina's military families with continued education expenses.
