North Carolina State Employees' Credit Union Chooses Handshaw's Lumenix PI Suite

CHARLOTTE, NC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 23, 2007 -- Handshaw, Inc., a provider of eLearning software and services, announced that North Carolina State Employees' Credit Union (SECU), serving 1.3 million members with over 200 branches in North Carolina, has chosen the Lumenix® PI Suite, which includes Lumenix PI Developer, a Learning Content Management System (LCMS) and Lumenix PI Administrator, a Learning Management System (LMS) to develop, deliver and manage eLearning. By choosing the Lumenix PI Suite, SECU will utilize the latest technology to help ensure mastery and performance improvement on the job.

"We are very pleased to add SECU to our financial services portfolio of clients. They have already made significant contributions to the Lumenix Users Group through their involvement in our conferences. We look forward to a successful implementation and a long term relationship," said Dick Handshaw, Founder and President, Handshaw, Inc.

Handshaw's Lumenix PI Developer rapidly creates eLearning courses that can be easily updated and maintained. The same content can then be reused for both paper-based and classroom courses representing savings of time and money. Lumenix PI Administrator is used by employees to register for courses, instructors to schedule classes and managers to track progress. By offering an integrated approach, Handshaw is helping SECU reduce their time to develop, deliver, and manage all learning, resulting in significant cost savings. The software was purchased to migrate SECU's paper-based high stakes testing program to an online format, further reducing SECU's administrative costs.

"We spoke with numerous vendors of traditional learning management systems (LMS) over the past two years, but felt Handshaw offered the best system for SECU. Their ability to listen and respond to our needs was a big factor in our decision to go with this group. We are anxious to get started migrating our in-house testing program to the Web," said Leigh Brady, Senior Vice President - Education Services, SECU.
