North Park University Presents 4Days4Justice on April 14-17


CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - March 22, 2010) -  North Park University announced today that it will hold a series of lectures, discussions, worship events, workshops, and training sessions Wednesday, April 14 though Saturday, April 17 with the theme "4days4justice." The program is an opportunity to engage in dialogue on the theory and practice of justice with professors, pastors and criminal justice practitioners.

Sessions and speakers include:

  • First Nations worship service with Richard Twiss, Wiconi International -- Wednesday, April 14, 5-7 p.m.
  • Andrea Smith (UC Riverside) on the Nonprofit Industrial Complex -- Wednesday, April 14, 7-8 p.m.
  • Peter Heltzel (New York Theological Seminary) on Race and Justice -- Thursday, April 15, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • Mimi Haddad (Christians for Biblical Equality) on Gender and Justice -- Thursday, April 15, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • Terry LeBlanc (North American Institute of Indigenous Theological Studies ) and Lisa Sharon Harper (New York Faith and Justice) on Environmental Justice -- Thursday, April 15, 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
